Models for unreleased and Mythical Gen 2 and 3 Pokemon discovered in the network traffic
Trainers, hold on to your seats, we’re going into hype overdrive mode! Chrales, the regular network traffic analyst and data miner associated with the PogoDEV discord server, has found normal and shiny models of most unreleased Gen 1, 2 and 3 Pokemon in the game’s network traffic!
Before we share the images and the results, we just want to be super clear:
- this doesn’t mean that these Pokemon are or will be soon available (except for Celebi, a previous leaked showed it will be released on GO Fest)
- it’s not certain how these Pokemon will be released or when.
With that being said, let’s get to the good stuff, shall we! The following Pokemon models were found in the network traffic:
Smeargle
The elusive Gen 2 painter has finally showed it’s face, and it is looking glorious! Armed with a tail mounted paint brush, this mischievous fellow is looking sharp as ever:
Clamperl, Huntail
Nobody’s favorite clam shell is in the network traffic as well, together with it’s evolution line. Unfortunately, we didn’t manage to screenshot everything, but here’s what we have:
Nincada and Shednja
Pokemon’s version of a zombie (essentially) and the incredibly boring Nincada are also in, featuring a distinct look and feel:
But of course, as mentioned in the title, this is not the end: we still have Mythical Pokemon to share. Brace yourselves:
Deoxys, Jirachi and Celebi
The following images contain spoilers and in-game models which you shouldn’t probably see if you want to experience everything in the game for the first time in the near / semi-near future. You’ve been warned.
Parting words
Once again, we want to be super clear about this: no, these Pokemon are not yet available in regular game play, and no, we really don’t know when they will become available. Celebi is likely to make a worldwide appearance following the end of GO Fest, but for the rest of them… we have no idea.
Will Deoxys be the next EX Raid boss? Possibly, but it’s also Mythical, so that complicates things quite a bit. It’s in-game stats are still 1 / 1 / 1 in the Game Master file, so it looks far from finished.
Jirachi, on the other hand, is something we really look forward to. This PSYCHIC and STEELPokemon is a great all-around attacker, with insane list of type resistances, and we will be quite happy to use it, especially if it keeps Doom Desire, an incredible STEEL charged move that’s currently in its move pool (again, in the current Game Master file).
